I am a 60 year old retired teacher with arthritis in most of my joints which has affected my ability to exercise. I used to walk three miles five times a week, but arthritis in my feet negated that form of exercise. Pilates has given me a new and exciting way to exercise that isn't stressful on my joints. I try to do my mat exercises four to five times a week. I only see Kerry once every two weeks, so homework is essential for me. If I don't practice at home, my one-on-one session will not be productive.

When I was working I found that the best time for me to exercise was in the morning before going to work. Now I exercise late in the afternoon before dinner. For me exercising during the week is easier than on the weekend. Whatever your preference, you are more likely to exercise if it is built into your schedule at the same time of day. I know homework for me is a must. I want to live a healthy, productive life as I age. Good luck to all of you.
